The Current Era
2026 figures after Round 18, the United States Grand Prix.
Haas are seventh on 30 points. Oliver Bearman has 23 and Esteban Ocon 7; both scored in Baku, Ocon eighth and Bearman ninth, and Bearman was sixth in the Singapore sprint. The team's model — buying as many components from Ferrari as the rules allow and outsourcing the chassis to Dallara — keeps it viable on a small budget, but leaves little capacity to develop a car in-season.
History
Origins, eras and the people who shaped them.
Gene Haas, whose machine-tool company also backs a NASCAR operation, entered Formula One in 2016 as the first American constructor since the Haas Lola project of 1985-86, to which it is unrelated. Romain Grosjean scored points on debut in Australia.
The team's best season was 2018, when it finished fifth in the constructors' championship. A collapse followed: pointless stretches, a title sponsor withdrawn mid-season in 2022 over the invasion of Ukraine, and a run of years spent at or near the back.
Haas has never won a race, led a lap, or scored a podium. It remains the only current team to have gone its entire existence without a rostrum finish.
