Overview
Xherdan Shaqiri came off the bench in the 2019 Champions League semi-final against Barcelona and scored twice in Liverpool's 4–0 win, one of the most famous comebacks in the competition's history. He won the trophy with both Bayern Munich and Liverpool.
He has scored at four World Cups, the only Swiss player to do so, including a hat-trick against Honduras in 2014. Born in Kosovo and raised in Basel.
