Overview
Rabah Madjer scored the backheel that equalised for Porto in the 1987 European Cup final against Bayern Munich — one of the most famous goals in the competition's history — and set up the winner two minutes later.
He also scored in Algeria's 2–1 win over West Germany at the 1982 World Cup, one of the greatest upsets the tournament has seen. He captained Algeria to the 1990 Africa Cup of Nations on home soil.
