Overview

Harry Kewell was the outstanding Australian footballer of his generation and the first to win the Champions League, coming on in the 2005 final in Istanbul before going off injured after 23 minutes.

He was central to the Leeds United side that reached the 2001 Champions League semi-finals. Injuries curtailed much of his Liverpool career. He has since managed in England and won the AFC Champions League Elite as a coach at Yokohama F. Marinos.
