Overview
Didier Drogba scored the equaliser and the winning penalty in the 2012 Champions League final, his last act for Chelsea before leaving — the club's only European Cup until 2021. He is their fourth-highest scorer and scored in four separate FA Cup finals, winning all four.
He is also credited with helping halt Ivory Coast's civil war: after qualifying for the 2006 World Cup he appealed on television for a ceasefire, and a truce followed. Ivory Coast's all-time leading scorer.
