Overview
Rafael Márquez is one of only three players to have captained a side at five World Cups. He won two Champions Leagues and four La Liga titles at Barcelona, the first Mexican to play for the club.
He played as a ball-playing centre-back and often in midfield, and is Mexico's most-capped outfield player. He later managed Barcelona's B team.
