Overview
Ole Gunnar Solskjær scored the winning goal in the 1999 Champions League final in the third minute of stoppage time, completing Manchester United's treble ninety seconds after Teddy Sheringham had equalised. He had come on as a substitute in the 81st minute.
Known as the Baby-faced Assassin, he scored 126 goals for United, an unusually high proportion of them from the bench — including four in twelve minutes against Nottingham Forest in 1999. He later managed the club between 2018 and 2021.
