Overview
Kenny Dalglish is Scotland's joint record scorer with 30 goals and their joint most-capped player with 102. He won the European Cup three times with Liverpool, scoring the winner in the 1978 final at Wembley.
He became player-manager in 1985 and won a double in his first season. He led the club through the aftermath of Hillsborough in 1989, attending funerals almost daily, and resigned two years later citing the strain.
