Overview
Emil Forsberg scored the goal that eliminated Switzerland and took Sweden to the 2018 World Cup quarter-finals, their best result in twenty years. He was RB Leipzig's captain and a central figure through their rise from the second division to the Champions League.
He led the Bundesliga in assists in 2016–17, Leipzig's first season in the top flight. He joined New York Red Bulls in 2024.
