Atiba Hutchinson captained Canada at the 2022 World Cup at 39, ending a 36-year absence from the tournament, and is the country's most-capped player. He spent ten seasons at Beşiktaş, where he captained the side and won three Turkish titles.
He retired after the 2023 season having played professionally for more than twenty years.
